On Tuesday 5th May ten Year 10 GCSE music students hosted a visit from the residents of Daisy Cottage, a supported adult community adjacent to the college site on Sawyers Hall Lane. As an opening, the five visitors, each of whom was accompanied by a carer, were entertained by a performance from the students.
The session then became much more hands on as the
visitors had the opportunity to experiment using the microphones
and playing a range of percussion and other instruments. As a finale,
everyone,
staff, students and visitors, joined in an ensemble piece which was
thoroughly enjoyed by all. We hope this will be the first of many
such sessions.
