AMERICAN DINER
During discussions on improving college facilities at the Student Conference in January, students developed a College Facilities Action Plan that identified improved catering facilities as one of the main priority areas to develop .
The theme of ‘American Diner’ was suggested during subsequent meetings of the student Facilities Committee and accordingly, the college made arrangements for authentic diner furniture to be brought from America, through the Cola Red Furniture Company which supplies American Diners .
The dining room was redesigned and refurbished in cream and red to co-ordinate with the new furniture giving a much lighter, brighter and more American feel. A student information screen has also been installed. The menu has improved (including Milk Shakes and Coffee!) and new equipment bought to improve the overall supply and quality of food served.
