CHILDREN IN NEED DAY WAS 'HORRIBLE'!
Held on Friday 13th November, the theme was ‘Horror’ and students and staff dressed
in Halloween-style clothes to raise money for the worthwhile cause. Costumes
ranged from witches, to monsters and also included Batman and a scary banana!
‘Throwing Bloody Sponges at the Teacher’ was a popular event and after
paying 10p for a vote, students elected Mr Adams, Mr MacDonald and Mr Olbison
as targets. The ‘Sponging’ took place at break and students lined up to
pay 50p for a ‘bloody’ sponge to throw at their favourite teacher – Mr
MacDonald taking a direct hit in the face with one well aimed sponge!
The Friday 13th Event raised an enormous £770 for Children in Need! Well
done to all those who organised the event!
