The Governing Body of Sawyers Hall College are pleased to announce the appointment
of Mr Stephen Capper as Headteacher of Sawyers Hall College effective
from 1st September 2008.
Mr Capper was selected for this post from a competitive field of seventeen strong
applicants.
With this appointment the Governing Body are confident that
Mr Capper, his Leadership team and staff will continue to build on the
significant progress made during the last twelve months. This will include
the introduction of the Construction and the Built Environment diploma
being delivered as part of the Brentwood Consortium of Schools from September
2009 in a purpose built teaching area and on-going plans to become a
Specialist Sports and Science College.
Chair of Governors, Mrs Jane Needham, said “I am delighted
to be able to round off such a successful year by announcing this appointment.
I, the Governing Body and the Local Authority have every confidence that
Stephen will lead the College forward into an exciting future.”
Newly appointed Headteacher, Stephen Capper, said “The confirmation
of this appointment builds on our progress and aspirations to become
an ever more successful College for the Brentwood community. I have no
doubt that the strength of students, parents, staff and Governors, working
together in partnership with the local community will pay dividends as
it already has this year.”
