Compassionate Sawyers Hall College students were so touched by the Romford
Recorder’s story about a 7 year old girl’s fight for life that they decided
to raise funds to help send her to America for treatment.
Alex Hevey, Jazz Clark, Jordan Lane and Charlie Gregory have organised
a sell-out party for family and friends, which so far has raised a massive
£2,000. However, the trio are appealing for donations and hope that sales
of raffle tickets will allow them to donate £3,000 to £4,000.
Maya Perrin-Skippen, has already beaten aggressive brain tumours twice
during the last two years. However, tragically, the cancer has returned
and she has been given only two months to live, unless her parents can
raise £50,000 for pioneering treatment in Houston, Texas, USA.
Initially, an £8,000 deposit is needed and Alex, Jazz and Charlie hope
that their hard work will boost funds and speed Maya on her way to Houston
and hopefully, to a cure.
If you would like to donate or to buy raffle tickets, please contact Alex
Hevey on littlehevey@hotmail.com or college room 402
