CC4G Photo Shoot Members of CC4G, all smiled for the camera as they had professional photos taken. The girls posed for the photos, which were taken by Peter Spicer from Cinnamon Photography, on Thursday 22nd November. Peter will be returning to the college to talk to the A level photography students about what he does as a photographer. However, all students who are keen photographers can attend this meeting and learn more about the techniques and methods you can use when taking photos. If you like the idea of having a professional photo taken just like the girls from CC4G did, contact Peter Spicer who’s details are below. Peter Spicer 01277 203233 Mid-day assistant retires On Tuesday 18th December 2007, we will say goodbye to mid-day assistant Olive Roscoe, who is retiring after working in Sawyers Hall for 37 years. Before Olive began working in Sawyers Hall in 1970, she worked in Library Hill Nursery providing school lunches for the pupils. Although she said that she is extremely sad to be leaving a school that she loves, she is glad to be leaving it when it is on a high. Throughout the say, Olive takes care of the Margaret Hutton building, also known as block one. Her best memories from working in the college are meeting new people such as the students and many members of staff. Olive would like to thank all of the senior members of staff, administrators, students and Mr Capper for making her time in the college so enjoyable. She also believes that the atmosphere in Sawyers Hall is wonderful and is looking forward to attending the Christmas party, which she will return for, on the 19th December. Once Olive has retired from the college, she hopes to spend her time doing her hobbies, gardening and fishing and would like to visit some state homes. She also enjoys reading classic novels such as Pride and Prejudice written by Jane Austin and Flower in the Attic which is written by Virginia C Andrews. From all of the staff and students of Sawyers Hall College, good luck Olive and thank you for everything you have done. Claire (10mma)
