PHOTOGRAPHIC CHALLENGE FOR STUDENTS, STAFF AND PARENTS
Have you noticed Mrs Alderton and Mrs Knox out
in the college grounds recently? Chances are, they are snapping
away with their cameras at the most unlikely objects. ‘Why are
you taking a picture of that hedge, Miss?’ asked one puzzled student,
echoing the thoughts of all her friends.
Well, the secret’s out!
Mrs Alderton and Mrs Knox have enrolled on an
Open University Digital Photography course and they have just completed
their first assignment – to take six photographs of alphabetical
letters. Not letters on posters or car registration plates but
shapes of letters that you might find in everyday objects or in
nature e.g. an umbrella handle could be a letter ‘J’.
Can you think of a ‘letter’ that you could photograph?
Grab your camera and get snapping, then submit
any photographs via SimplyClick to Mrs Alderton or Mrs Knox (find
them in the Administrators’ group) and the best will be put in
the Alphabet Gallery.
Just to give you an idea, there are four examples
of ‘letters’ in the Alphabet Gallery in SimplyClick.
This challenge is open to students, staff and
parents.
