Course Introduction:
This will provide you with an introduction to business, enabling
you to investigate business and apply knowledge to business situations
and problems in real work situations. It is especially suitable
for anyone who enjoys taking a more active/practical approach
to their studies.
The course studied is designed to encourage students to:
1. Enjoy taking a more active approach to their studies by conducting
independent research to find out how businesses operates.
2. Use Information Technology to analyse data and present information.
3. Enter a qualification that is designed to offer a choice of
routes into higher education and employment.
Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to have attained:
5 or more A*- E GCSE Grades
Course Assessment:
Compulsory Units;
1. Exploring Business Purposes
2. Developing Customer Relations
3. Investigating Financial Control
All units are assessed by internally set portfolio assignments
that are assessed by teachers and then externally moderated.

1. Business Communication
2. Providing Business & Administration

3. Starting a small business
