Course Introduction:
This course aims to develop students as independent, confident & reflective
readers, able to relate literary and non-literary texts to the
contexts in which they are produced.
The course studied is designed to encourage students
to:
• Enjoy a subject that is stimulating & fun
• Understand our culture and where we came from in terms of our
literary heritage
• Be more adept at expressing yourself
• Take part in a subject that is a respected A Level, desired by
universities & employers
Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to have attained:
GCSE
Grade B in English Language,
Grade C in English Literature
