Course Introduction:
This is a challenging course that leads on from GCSE Higher mathematics.
It starts to develop your mathematical skills and problem solving skills
of mathematics.
The course studied is designed to encourage students to:
• Explore Mathematics in a greater depth
• Specialise in Pure Mathematics with either Mechanics or Statistics
• Build upon the trigonometry and algebra from GCSE course as well as meeting
new areas such as calculus.
Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to have attained:
GCSE Grade B in Maths
