Course Introduction:
This course strives to prepare students for life (Work & Leisure) in the 21st century where knowing a modern foreign language makes the difference. Want to see the world from another perspective? Then this is the course for you!

The course studied is designed to encourage students to explore:
• Youth culture and concerns (music, fashion, technology, relationships)
• Lifestyle, health & fitness (sport, food, diet, health issues)
• The world around us (tourism, weather, environment, recycling)
• Education & employment (education, policy, world of work)
• Customs, traditions, beliefs & religions
• National & international events.
• Literature & the arts.

Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to have attained:
GCSE Grade B in Spanish

A2 Level (Year 13)

Unit 3 Understanding & spoken response in target language
5 minutes speaking on chosen issue
Discussion 35%

Unit 4 Research, Understanding and written response in target language translation
Essay 65%
