Course Introduction:
This course provides students with
Students focus on religious language, experience,
moral implications of miracles and the nature of God and the soul.
Ethical theories will be studied along with their application in
modern society. In ethics, free-will and determinism, the conscience
as well as the application of ethical theories will be studied.
• This course is designed for students who want
to think about, evaluate, discuss and express the knowledge they
have learnt about ultimate questions and contemporary moral issues.
Students will be trained in a structured way to evaluate arguments
about the existence of God and how humans make ethical judgements.
• Lessons use a variety of materials including videos, textbooks
and guest speakers. Seminar style discussions form and important
part of the teaching and learning in Philosophy & Ethics.
Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to
have attained:
GCSE Grade B in R.E or English Language
