Course Introduction:
This course allows those interested to develop
their capacity to design and make products
and appreciate the complex relations between design, materials,
manufacture and marketing.
Students can specify in a particular medium; Product design or
Textiles.
The course studied is designed to encourage students
to:
• Choose between Textile materials or 3D products in resistant
materials
• Study a ‘Vocational’ A Level
• Go to University to study a range of degree courses such as Architecture,
Product Design, Engineering, Interior Design, Fashion & ICT
related courses
• Develop a broad view of design & technology
• Develop their capacity to design & make
products
• Appreciate the complex relations between materials, manufacture & marketing
Entry Requirements:
To succeed in this course students will need to
have attained:
GCSE Grade B in Textiles Product Design or Resistant
Materials
